2. How OLE is hosted
The public OLE website is served as a static website through GitLab Pages. The music-link resolver and cover proxy run separately on Cloudflare Workers under api.ole.rocks. When you visit OLE or use the resolver, the respective infrastructure providers necessarily process technical connection data such as your IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser/user-agent information and related security data in order to deliver the service and protect their networks.
The legal basis, where applicable, is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in securely and reliably providing this website and its resolver.
3. Music links submitted to OLE
When you submit a music link, your browser sends that link to OLE's Cloudflare Worker. The Worker uses it to identify the track and query public endpoints or pages of supported music services and metadata providers such as Apple, Deezer, Spotify, YouTube and MusicBrainz. These server-to-server requests originate from Cloudflare infrastructure rather than directly from your browser.
OLE does not require an account and does not intentionally attach your identity to submitted music links. The current version does not store a permanent user history or profile.
4. Cover artwork
Where available, cover artwork is loaded through OLE's Cloudflare Worker proxy instead of directly from the artwork provider in your browser. The Worker may use Cloudflare caching to reduce repeated upstream requests. OLE does not claim ownership of cover artwork; rights remain with the respective rights holders.
5. External links and Ko-fi
When you open a result on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, TIDAL, Amazon Music, SoundCloud, Qobuz or another destination, you leave OLE. The privacy rules of that provider then apply.
The Support page contains a normal external link to Ko-fi. OLE does not embed a Ko-fi widget, payment form or tracking script. A connection to Ko-fi is made only after you actively click the support button. Any payment is then handled by Ko-fi and the payment provider selected there, such as PayPal, under their own privacy terms.
6. Cookies, local storage and analytics
The OLE application itself does not set cookies and does not use browser local storage, analytics, advertising trackers or marketing technologies. No consent banner is therefore used for OLE's own application code. GitLab and Cloudflare may use technically necessary security or delivery mechanisms as part of operating their infrastructure.
7. Fonts and external assets
OLE does not load Google Fonts or other externally hosted web fonts. The interface uses system fonts already available on your device. The application does not embed external advertising, analytics or social-media widgets.
8. Share links
Share links generated by this serverless version contain the original public music URL as an encoded query parameter. OLE does not need a database to create or reopen these links. Anyone who receives such a share URL can therefore see the original source link contained in the URL.
9. Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority responsible for you or for OLE's operator.
